Crunchy Pickles

When people ask what kind of tooth I have, sweet or savory… I always say I have a sour and bitter tooth. Anyone else? I don’t know about you, but I generally gravitate towards things that are VERY bitter or sour. Which is why these pickles do me justice.

I love the good crispy crunch of a pickle on a hot day, but unfortunately, I never buy pickles because they always have garlic and or onion and I just do not vibe with that, so I decided to make my own.

It is so simple and the perfect addition to any dish.

Ingredients:

1.5 cups water

1.5 cup distilled white vinegar

2-3 cucumbers of your choice (I recommend English cucumbers)

optional: dill, mustard seeds, you can also add minced garlic and chopped onion if that floats your boat.

*For sweet pickles, I would add half a tablespoon of maple syrup or honey.

Directions:

Cut cucumbers to desired pickle shape.

Combine all ingredients in a mason jar, shake. The hardest part is waiting 24 hours to enjoy!
